This 8-hour tour begins with a visit to Corcovado Mountain and the Christ the Redeemer statue. The statue stands 710 meters tall and from this vantage point, you’ll have sweeping views of the city.
The 20-minute drive to the base of the statue takes you through the Tijuca Forest and gives you a preview of the landscapes ahead.
After this visit, the tour heads to the Metropolitan Cathedral of Rio de Janeiro, then the Sambódromo and finally to Journalist Mario Filho Stadium, popularly known as Maracanã, for an outside visit.
You’ll stop at a steakhouse for lunch before visiting Sugarloaf Mountain. Located in the Urca neighborhood, the mountain is one of the icons of Rio.
The cable car ride to the top of the mountain is done in 2 stages: begin at the boarding station to Urca Mountain (224 meters) and then from Urca Mountain to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain (395 meters).
This is where you’ll have the best panoramic views of the city of Rio de Janeiro and end this tour.
